  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup sliced pickles (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts.
  3. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture on the chicken.
  4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the chicken and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C).
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then shred it with two forks and mix in the remaining BBQ sauce.
  7. Slice slider buns in half and toast them in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.
  8. Mix shredded cabbage, carrots, and dressing for homemade coleslaw or stir store-bought coleslaw.
  9. Place the bottom half of the toasted buns on a platter and add BBQ shredded chicken.
  10. Top with coleslaw.
  11. Add pickles if desired.
  12. Place the top half of the buns on each slider and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  13. Sprinkle fresh cilantro or parsley on top if desired.
