- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 slider buns
- 1 cup coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup sliced pickles (optional)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts.
- Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture on the chicken.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the chicken and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then shred it with two forks and mix in the remaining BBQ sauce.
- Slice slider buns in half and toast them in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.
- Mix shredded cabbage, carrots, and dressing for homemade coleslaw or stir store-bought coleslaw.
- Place the bottom half of the toasted buns on a platter and add BBQ shredded chicken.
- Top with coleslaw.
- Add pickles if desired.
- Place the top half of the buns on each slider and secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Sprinkle fresh cilantro or parsley on top if desired.
- Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
