Description
These Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls are a deliciously easy appetizer that combines creamy, spicy, and savory flavors in a flaky crescent dough. Perfect for gatherings, game days, or a fun weeknight snack!
Ingredients
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (or similar)
- Cream Cheese
- Fresh Jalapeños
- Shredded Cheese (sharp cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, or Mexican cheese blend)
- Cooked Beef Bacon Bits (optional)
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Salt
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Egg Wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon of water or milk, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wearing gloves, slice the fresh jalapeños in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds and white membranes. Finely dice the jalapeño flesh.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, finely diced jalapeños, shredded cheese, cooked and crumbled beef bacon bits (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, a pinch of salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Open the can of refrigerated crescent roll dough and unroll it into individual triangles.
- Take about a tablespoon of the cream cheese filling and place it on the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the pointed tip, encasing the filling snugly.
- Place the rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. If using, brush the tops with the egg wash.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is warm and gooey.
- Transfer the baked rolls to a serving platter and serve warm.
