Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Fruits: Wash all your fresh fruits thoroughly. Core and chop the fresh pineapple into bite-sized chunks. Hull and slice your strawberries, or halve them if they’re smaller. Make sure your blueberries are clean and dry. If using canned mandarin oranges, open them up and drain them very well. Halve your red grapes. Peel and slice the kiwi into pretty rounds or half-moons. Important banana note: Do NOT slice your bananas yet! We’ll add them right before serving to keep them from turning brown and mushy. Place all your prepped fruits (except the bananas) into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Whip Up the Creamy Dressing: In a separate medium-sized mixing bowl, make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature. Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until it's light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese, beating until well combined and smooth. Stir in your non-alcohol alternative vanilla extract. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until no streaks remain, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Combine and Chill: Pour the creamy dressing over your prepped fruits (still excluding the bananas). Gently fold the dressing into the fruit using a large rubber spatula. If you’re adding mini marshmallows, fold them in now too. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours.
  4. Final Touches and Serve: Just before you’re ready to serve, peel and slice your bananas. Add them to the fruit salad and gently fold them in. Give the salad another gentle stir.
