Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add olive oil and apple cider vinegar to the spice mixture. Whisk until it forms a smooth paste.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- Toss the wings in the marinade until evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to a resealable plastic bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Remove wings from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Let the wings rest for 5 minutes after baking to allow juices to redistribute.
- Prepare your serving platter by sprinkling chopped parsley on the bottom. Transfer wings to the platter and garnish with more parsley if desired.
- Serve hot with ranch or blue cheese dressing and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust cayenne pepper for desired spice level.
- For added flavor, consider adding Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce to the marinade.
- For grilling, preheat grill to medium-high and cook wings for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
