  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by taking the chicken breasts out of the refrigerator. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts.
  4. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on one side without moving it.
  5. Flip the chicken breasts and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from skillet and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
  6. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Allow to melt and become bubbly.
  7. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden.
  8. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze.
  9. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  10. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Mix until well combined.
  11. Gradually add in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted and incorporated.
  12. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  13. Allow to simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes.
  14. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  15. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the chicken to a serving platter or individual plates.
  16. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the chicken and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
