Ingredients
Scale
- 25–30 Peppermint Oreos
- 5–6 Peppermint Oreos (for garnish)
- 8 oz Full-Fat Cream Cheese, softened
- 8 oz Whipped Topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (Confectioners' Sugar)
- 1 tsp Peppermint Extract
- Milk (optional, for thinning)
- Extra crushed Peppermint Oreos (for garnish)
- Mini chocolate chips (for garnish)
- Crushed candy canes (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Oreos: Separate about 5-6 Peppermint Oreos and set them aside for later garnishing. Crush the remaining cookies in a large Ziploc bag or food processor until they are mostly fine crumbs with a few larger pieces for texture.
- Cream the Base: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Sweeten and Flavor: Add the powdered sugar and peppermint extract to the cream cheese and mix on medium-low speed until well combined and smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness or mint flavor if desired.
- Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain.
- Add the Crushed Oreos: Fold in about two-thirds of the crushed Peppermint Oreos, saving some for garnish.
- Chill Time is Crucial: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours.
- Garnish and Serve: Before serving, sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos and any other garnishes over the top. Serve with your favorite dippers.
