  • Author: Lily
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 servings 1x

Description

Indulge in a rich and gooey brownie pie, featuring melted chocolate, butter, and a hint of vanilla. Baked to perfection with a fudgy center, this dessert is a must-try for chocolate lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat, stirring occasionally. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and 2 cups of granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth and glossy.
  4. Add the 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, sift together the 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently with a spatula or wooden spoon. Avoid overmixing.
  8. Fold in the 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and the 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (if using).
  9. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray. Optionally, line the bottom with parchment paper.
  10. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie dish, spreading it evenly.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. The edges should be set while the center remains slightly gooey. A toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  12. Remove from the oven and let cool in the dish for 10-15 minutes.
  13. If using parchment paper, lift the brownie pie out. Otherwise, slice directly in the dish. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
