Ingredients
- Hot Dog Buns (soft, top-split or side-split)
- Beef Hot Dogs (all-beef, uncured)
- Beef Bacon (6-8 slices, cooked and crumbled)
- Cheddar Cheese (sharp or medium, shredded)
- Ranch Dressing (bottled or homemade)
- Butter (melted)
- Optional Garnishes (fresh chopped chives or green onions)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cook beef bacon slices until crispy and crumble them into small bits. Shred your cheddar cheese if not done already.
- Open your hot dog buns carefully. Brush the inside surfaces with melted butter, optionally mixed with garlic powder.
- Drizzle a thin layer of ranch dressing inside each bun, then sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese over the ranch. Add the crispy crumbled beef bacon on top.
- If desired, insert a cooked hot dog into the bun before baking, then gently close the bun.
- Arrange the filled buns on the baking sheet and bake for about 8-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the buns are lightly golden.
- If you baked the buns without the hot dogs, tuck a pre-cooked hot beef hot dog into each bun after removing them from the oven.
- Drizzle with extra ranch dressing and sprinkle fresh chopped chives or green onions on top. Serve immediately while hot.
