- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove any wilted or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into 8 wedges, ensuring they are thick enough to hold their shape during roasting.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Mix until cohesive.
- Pour the garlic mixture over the cabbage wedges and toss gently with your hands to coat evenly.
- If using balsamic vinegar, drizzle it over the cabbage and toss again.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Arrange the cabbage wedges in a single layer on the sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through for even browning.
- Keep an eye on the cabbage during the last few minutes; it should be tender and golden brown. For extra char, leave it in for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve warm as a side dish. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
