- High-quality vanilla ice cream
- Unsweetened cranberry juice
- White grape juice
- Freshly squeezed orange juice
- Whole cinnamon sticks
- Star anise
- Whole cloves
- Sparkling white grape juice
- Ginger ale or lemon-lime soda (clear variety)
- Fresh cranberries
- Thinly sliced oranges
- Sprigs of fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Prepare your frozen snowballs by scooping generous portions of vanilla ice cream onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 3-4 hours or overnight until firm.
- In a large saucepan, combine unsweetened cranberry juice, white grape juice, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Add whole cinnamon sticks, star anise, and whole cloves. Simmer gently for 10-15 minutes to infuse flavors. Strain out the spices and cool the punch base completely before refrigerating for 2-3 hours.
- Just before serving, pour the chilled punch base into a large punch bowl.
- Gently pour in sparkling white grape juice and ginger ale (or lemon-lime soda) down the side of the bowl to minimize fizz loss. Stir gently to combine.
- Add the frozen snowballs to the punch bowl and garnish with fresh cranberries, thinly sliced oranges, and sprigs of rosemary. Serve immediately.
